It’s not often that we share news about emoji apps, but the latest one is a bit unique on its own while being inspired by Albanian tradition and boasting over 80 unique and digitally created stickers.
Created by Kosovo’s creative minds at Frakton, in joint cooperation with local Illustrator Rrezart Dujaka – Rrez, Albmoji has been initially released for iOS, while serving the purpose of adding a bit of creativity for messaging apps such as iMessage, Whatsapp, Viber, etc.
The interesting story behind the app is, that it resembles Albanian tradition and history, shaped in different types of stickers, while also combining modern and cool stuff of the younger generations that they commonly use.
The attention to detail is quite amazing and you can see it especially in historical figures and even musical instruments, which you can check out on your own for just $1 on the iOS app, or even better for free on the Android side.
Top 10 in Stickers apps in 5 Countries
Albmoji has managed to quickly climb on the top 10 lists of 5 countries, based on data from AppAnnie, including Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Albania, and Macedonia, while also staying on the top 10 list for the Entertainment category in the same countries.
We didn’t get many insights into the data about how many customers have paid for the app on iOS side, while the release of the Android version seems to be getting traction quickly, and it has already started to become grossing and trending in relevant categories and markets.
While the app did get some interesting visibility and feedback over on Producthunt as well, the team behind did confirm that they also plan to release new stickers in the near future and also provide a surprise for the 10 year anniversary of the independence of Kosovo (17th February 2018).
