Bonevet hosted the first ever Startup Week European Makers in Kosovo through the accreditation from European Commission, Maker Faire Rome and Europe.
4 workshops and two lectures with around 200 makers from all over Kosovo were part of the two day workshops of the maker week in Gjakova.
Monday, was dedicated to 3D printing and participants, divided into two groups, were engaged in a race to create two 3D printers. Increasing technological development skills, critical thinking, meeting the challenges, and raising desire for innovation, the creators made the first steps towards technological events that will change the world. To strengthen even more ideas for creating, Leana Mahmud – Co founder in “Le Arch 3D” showed her experience and the way how innovation paved the road to success.
Bonevet’s marathon event continued on the second day, reserved for Programming and Design. Participants got engaged in the latest methods of branding, where at the end of the day each of them created attractive brands with their own initials. Makers in their workshop teach how to find new ways to customize their work’s design and to make it more personal.
The rest of the day was covered “Girls Coding Kosova“, which was focused on teaching creative programming through mobile apps development. Participants were very satisfied and said that the technology will become part of daily activities even more in the future.
European Maker Week is becoming a major event about innovative technology and as such it would not have been possible without the support of sponsors including SDC, Foncacioni “Une e du Kosoven” and Pro Credit Bank. BONEVET, of course, is still open to makers throughout the week!
