Instagram announced that its users no longer have to crop their shots to the app’s restricting square aspect ratio. Now users can choose one of two additional layouts-portrait and landscape.
The latest update comes as an addition to the latest big changes for the app that include saving photos larger than the standard 640px resolution and a streamlined redesign for in-browser viewing. To learn more about the changes in the latest update, check out the Instagram Help Center.
Instagramers now will be able to have more control over the pictures that they upload and give them the right aspect ratio they want, including portrait or landscape mode. The first to try out the feature were Star Wars and NASA Instagram channels.
