Girls Coding Kosova have been experiencing the beauty of coding, through a workshop organized jointly with Open Data Kosovo and UNDP Kosovo, which today marked the completion of a coding adventure that started last week.
The first day of the workshop during this weekend, started with short presentation from Bevuta, a German company providing professional and reliable solutions for IT Businesses, and it continued with representatives from Open Data Kosovo, who engaged the participants in hands-on coding, with Web Development using Python and Flask and MongoDB in Python. This also marked the continuation of the workshop that started last week and giving the final shot towards the projects that were started to be developed.
While most of the people were outside enjoying a boring day, participants at the workshops were concentrated on visualizing data with jQuery and High Charts. From this workshop not only different technological tools were lectured but, three participants of the workshop, Erza Emini, Valorina Dreshaj and Grese Hyseni, had the chance to work for Open Data Kosovo Organization as well.
While today marks the end of the workshop series, Girls Coding Kosova and Open Data Kosovo will continue to advocate to opening data in Kosovo and making a better tech-friendly and open environment. The final project of this workshop was to visualize and put online data from UNDP Kosovo regarding Gender Equality related corruption risks and vulnerabilities in the civil service of Kosovo.
