NUMA Barcelona is a French investment fund that invests at least $30,000 in startups and is holding the first European program to accelerate technology startups, by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.
With an investment of 4.8 million euros over the next three years, the plan intends to accelerate 30 startups from November 1st looking for scalable projects with international impact.
It already has requests from 37 different countries and 10 selected startups will develop a program for 4 months from November.
Each of the selected startups will receive $30,000 initial funding for the development of their project and mentoring services, consulting and office.
In return, NUMA Barcelona gets 5% on equity of the startup. The initiative also has an additional item $1.5M intended to perform after the end of the program contributions.
NUMA Barcelona has a team of mentors which are Ali Partovi, investor and consultant on projects such as Facebook, Airbnb, Uber or Dropbox, Jorge Carulla, former marketing director and co-founder of shakeup last minute, Gary Shainberg, ex- vice president of technology and innovation of British Telecom and Francisco Perez, co-founder of Hawker, among others.
The call is open, however, the application deadline for registration ends in 3 days.
