The enthusiastic crowd behind FLOSSK, is working hard on the 7th edition of Software Freedom Kosova Conference – SFK 2016, which is expected to take place on 21-23 October in Prishtina, Kosovo.
Software Freedom Kosova Conference (SFK) is one of the largest and oldest annual conferences in the region established to promote software freedom, free culture, and open knowledge, a global movement that originally started more than 25 years ago.
Each year SFK has pursued its mission: educating Kosovo on Free and Open Source Software, its benefits and the great community behind it. SFK conferences have had a great impact on creating strong bonds between the national and foreign communities. For six years SFK has brought together developers, users, thought-leaders and providers to network, learn, and share the common interests through a combination of tracks, workshops, and keynotes.
SFK attracts 300+ attendees in a mixture of students and professionals from tech-related fields mostly from Kosovo and neighboring countries.
SFK, a community-driven conference, this year will present a program consisting of two days of workshops and one day of lectures on various FLOSS topics.
Organizers welcome talk and workshop proposals, especially from the areas of web development, mobile, IoT, and game development. Call for Speakers closes on 15 September. See the conference website for how to apply as a speaker or attend as a participant.
