On 14-15 November 2013, the 4th edition of BALKAN VENTURE FORUM (BkVF) will take place in Tirana, Albania.
The Balkan Venture Forums (BkVF) play an active role in supporting Balkan-based entrepreneurs to connect with international investors and business partners. This time the investment forum will take place in Tirana and will be showcasing businesses from Albania and the rest of the region. The main attraction of the Forum will be the Top 30 companies from Albania and Balkans that have been selected to pitch their business.
Opening speeches and remarks are set to be starting tomorrow at 12:00 with Michael Gold (Crimson Capital Corp.), Niko Peleshi (Government of Albania), Arben Ahmetaj (Government of Albania) and Jim Barnhart (USAID), while afterwards there will be a keynote by Baybars Altuntas (TBAA – Business Angels Association Turkey) on the topic The Rising Map of Successful Entrepreneur.
Lot’s of discussions and pitching panels are part of the two days of the conference while this time we have lots of teams from Albania like 123.al, aview (online video sharing), InstOOKid (an instructive game for blind and non blind children), Kreatx sh.p.k (Innovative Software Development and Solutions), Mugui Network (Innovative placed-based advertising platform for tv media), Oficina (Sharing Energy), ProLAB and Veresie. One team from Kosovo, ZAG Apps with Ermal Sadiku presenting and a couple of other startups from other regional countries.
Experts from Kosovo who are present include, Kushtrim Xhakli (IPKO Foundation) is participating on a panel about top fields of opportunity for innovation together with Riccardo Aimerito (ERA Kapital), Argyrios Spyridis (Innovation Farm) and moderated by Michael Gold (Crimson Capital Corp.). Celik Nimani (Athene Prosjektledelse AS) is also participating on the experts panel at one of the startup competitions. They were present in the last edition in Sofia as well. From Albania the list includes names like, Matilda Shehu (Plus Communications), Genti Daci (Abcom), Genc Boga (Boga & Associates), Elvis Bregu (Vodafone), etc.
