AÂ hackathon for kids was organized over the weekend by jCoders from Kosovo at the Innovation Centre Kosovo. The aim was to introduce coding to kids between 8 – 15 years and inspire them to code their favorite games and apps.
The kids got involved with different technologies, including Arduino and the like, to create different prototypes and bring them to life through coding, mainly with Scratch. Groups were formed as well to work in games like Legend of Zelda, Piano Tiles and other concepts developed by the kids, which then presented this work to the others that were gathered during the event.
Some of the projects included electronic insects, parking lot management and a moving/dancing robot.
