KosICT, coming up in 28-29th October, has grown to one of the largest tech conferences in the Balkans, focusing on digital marketing, startups, big data, ed tech and for the first time, eSports.
Organized in Prishtina, Kosovo – KosICT is bringing a range of speakers across different topics, including Amy Cosper, Editor-in-Chief at Entrepreneur Magazine; Marcin Malinowski, Head of Global Partnerships at Google; Francesco Federico, EMEA Digital Director at JLL; Martin Kadinov, ESL regional manager for Southeast Europe at Turtle Entertainment GmbH; Monika Mikac, COO at Rimac Automobili d.o.o and others.
The Kosovo IT Association – STIKK, organizes this yearly event in partnership with ICK and Universum College on October 28th and 29, 2016. Compared to the previous events, this year’s edition is positioned more as a tech festival than a conference. Instead of being organized in a hotel, KosICT will be held in the center of Pristina at the Youth Center with a various combination of stages.
Speakers are expected to be present around bars in the city during the night, while the conference is aiming to revive the eSports industry, through an international eSports Championship that will be held during the event.
The event will also feature a unique Outsourcing & Startups Fair, bringing parties together that are looking for business opportunities. The aim is to promote successful Kosovar companies, showcase them to the participants and also showcase a local flavor to the international audience,” says Bardh Kadiu, deputy executive director of STIKK, the Kosovo ICT Association.
