Nico Rosberg, former Formula 1 World Champion and Investor, joins Bits & Pretzels 2018 as Center Stage Speaker
Nico Rosberg will be speaking on the second day of the Bits & Pretzels festival, which will take place in Munich from 30 September to 2 October, on the subject of mobility of the future and his investor activities on the Center Stage.
At six, Nico Rosberg was already in a kart; this was followed by stations in various kart championships, the successful participation in Formula A, Formula 3 and the GP2 series. In 2006 he competed for the first time in Formula 1 with Williams. After 206 Formula 1 races, 57 podiums, 23 wins and a world title, Rosberg announced in 2016 the end of his active Formula 1 career.
After his unique career as a racing driver, Nico Rosberg is now active as an investor. In April 2018, for example, he entered the Formula E as an investor and shareholder – a racing series for formula cars with an electric motor. He has also invested in several mobility startups, such as SpaceX and Lyft.
Nico Rosberg is a brand ambassador for various national and international brands and has already won several awards. At the beginning of last year, he won the Laureus Award in the category “Breakthrough”, as he spearheaded his team-mate Lewis Hamilton after two runner-up championships last season turned around.
Another award came in May 2018: Nico Rosberg was awarded the GreenTec Special Prize “Entrepreneur of the Year”. This was his sustainable commitment as an entrepreneur and a pioneer of innovative green technologies.
