The city of Gjakova in Kosovo is aiming to raise the start-up scene to the next level through different means and one of those steps includes the open call launch for ideas, that has been just recently announced by Jakova Innovation Centre – a new business incubator supported by the country’s government.
The call for ideas is open until 16 July 2014, and anyone with an idea/team can apply for possible acceptance in the new incubator located at the heart of the city, while it is worth mentioning that a great amount of practices from Innovation Centre Kosovo are being applied here as well, and the application process is quite similar and the benefits for the accepted teams are similar as well. For more details, have a look at the website:Â http://www.jic-ks.com/
JIK benefited also from the BI/Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network Kosovo Exchange Program, which gave the possibility to students for a scholarship of attending Tuck School of Business for two and a half months and return back to the country with the gained skills and knowledge and apply them in business ideas and host them at JIK.
The center is looking eagerly forward to name a few incubator tenants and possible graduates, but we’ll have to wait for this and serve the information to you in the near future.
