4 out of the 50 startups that will be pitching on the main stage of the conference will be awarded for the best startup offered by IXIA Romania, the best cyber security startup by Bitdefender, the best startup story by Cyberghost and IXIA innovation award.
Besides the financial prizes, Startup Spotlight brings unique development opportunities to the attending startups: 1 on 1 meetings with potential business partners, media exposure, pitch practice sessions, as well as hands-on advice on raising investment. How to Web Startup Spotlight is a deal-making program for emerging European tech startups, that will start on October 31st at TechHub Bucharest and will continue on November 1st & 2nd during How to Web Conference, at the National Theatre in Bucharest.
The startups that will be selected into the program will compete for $30k cash prizes offered by the main partners: $5.6k for the best cyber security startup, $5.6k for the best startup story, $5k – IXIA Innovation Award and the big prize of $15k for the best startup.

How to Web Startup Spotlight 2016 is a three-day deal-making program, developed in partnership with IXIA Romania, Bitdefender and Telekom Romania.
Promising tech startups from all around Europe with less than 2 years of activity, that have at least a working prototype for their product and have not raised more than 500.000 EUR to date for their current product are invited to apply by September 25th. Attendance is free of charge, and no equity deal is involved for the startups selected to attend the competition.
Very early bird tickets for How to Web Conference 2016 are available on the conference’s website by September 23. 1000+ tech professionals from 100+ global companies are expected to join the event.
