So you all know what Product Hunt is, and for those of you who don’t: Product Hunt is a website that lets users share and discover new products.
The site, which was founded by Ryan Hoover in November of 2013, is backed by Y Combinator. Users submit products which are listed in a linear format by day. The site includes a comments system and a voting system similar to Hacker News or Reddit. The products with the most votes rise to the top of each day’s list.
By the end of the year 2015, the awesome folks of Product Hunt have come up with an exiting list of nominees in different categories to be potentially awarded the Golden Kitty Award, and news came in today of who the winners of the award are in the following categories:
First place goes to Slash Keyboard 2.0, which is a Smart keyboard with built-in search engine, second place for Raspberry Pi Zero – the $5 computer and third place for the Tesla Powerwall, a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening.
