SFK 2013, new details on the agenda and speakers

FLOSSK, the organization behind fifth edition of Software Freedom Kosova 2013, has released some new details regarding the agenda and speakers that are going to be present on the 7th September 2013, and some of the topics to be discussed include mobile open web, hackerspaces, data protection, freelancing, and code sharing or scaling the cloud. Just a couple of days ago FLOSSK also organized a two-day boot-camp in Prishtina, focused on open-source and introductions to it.

Main Event, September 7th

The event registration will start from 09:00 until 10:00 at the Faculty of Education in Prishtina, while the amongst the speakers currently present on the website we see names like Alex Lakatos, a JavaScript developer and Mozilla Representative based in Cluj-Napoca, Redon Skikuli, Mozilla Representative and one of the co-founders of Design Overview in Tirana, Arianit Dobroshi one of the key players since the beginning of FLOSSK, Arbnor Hasani currently involved with the Innovations Lab in Kosovo at the Design Center, Ana Risteska contributor to the GNOME project or Burim Shala, WordPress theme developer and many more awesome speakers for which you can read more here.

Training, September 9th 

This year there will be training programs and workshops running at the Innovation Centre of Kosovo, where participants will get the chance to follow sessions like Tuning PostgreSQL with Bert Desmet, Awesome HTML5/CSS3 with Vleran Dushi, WordPress and Template Development with Burim Shala and WMKIT Arduino workshop with Redon Sikuli. These are details only for track 1, so details for other trakcs will be announced soon.

Amongst the latest news is the latest platinum sponsor for SFK, Google which has different open source programs that are focused on supporting the development of the open source software community, and they do this by releasing Google-created code, providing vital infrastructure, supporting open source organizations, handling internal open source compliance, and by running student outreach programs such as Google Summer of Code and Google Code-in.
