Social Innovation Camp back for the third time in Prishtina

Social Innovation Camp is coming back to Kosovo for the third time during 6-8 of December 2013, through the organization of Unicef Innovations Lab Kosovo and in partnership with experts of the Innovations Camp from the United Kingdom.

Social Innovation Camp is a dynamic competition that brings together people and digital tools to get together to solve social challenges in 48 hours through web technologies. Ron Salaj, the coordinator of the Camp in Kosovo says that the camp aims to give the young Kosovars the talent, expertise and the creativity to show that different social challenges can be solved in an alternative way, with modest resources and through web technologies or smartphones, and all in 48 intensive hours.

Taulant Hoxha, creator of Eventor and participant of the second edition of the Social Innovations Camp in Kosovo says that the idea of Eventor has been for long in his mind, but he never had the opportunity to make it come to life.

During Social Innovation Camp Kosovo, I had the chance to apply immediately and together with friends from Kosovo and beyond, make it happen. Eventor today has over 100 publications, over 5,000 followers on social networks and has been awarded by Rhodes Youth Forum in Greece.

In this camp, participants will get the chance to be mentored in different fields by local and international experts, while Dan McQuillan, co-founder, and director of the Social Innovation Camp in United Kingdom will be back again to support and encourage the event.

Application is now open for everyone between 18-29 years old, while 6 selected teams will compete for the three top prizes, which means that they will also get the chance to make their idea happen into reality through 6 months of support by the Innovations Lab. Apply now until 17 of November in the following website

The event is organized by UNICEF Innovations Lab Kosovo, while it is supported by the Unicef Office in Kosovo, the EU office in Prishtina,,, Klan Kosova TV and NGO Pen. For more information follow also
