The First Person To Tweet From Space, Is The New Spark.Me 2018 Keynote Speaker

The organizing team of Spark.me, one of the most carefully curated business/Internet conferences in Southeast Europe, which is set for May 26-27 (with an additional day of hands-on workshops on May 25), in the Mediterranean seaside resort of Budva, Montenegro, has just announced the new Spark.me 2018 keynote speaker – Mike Massimino, former NASA astronaut, professor at Columbia University, TV personality, Senior Advisor for Space Programs at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, and a bestselling author.

Mike Massimino served as a NASA Astronaut from 1996-2014, flying in space twice and walking in space four times for the final two Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions. He was the first person to tweet from space and the last to work inside Hubble.

Mike lives in New York City where he is the Senior Advisor for Space Programs at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. He teaches an undergraduate engineering course at Columbia University.

Mike has appeared on CBS hit comedy The Big Bang Theory six times; appears regularly on talk shows, news programs and documentaries, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Star Talk, and NatGeo’s new television series One Strange Rock; and has hosted Science Channel’s Great American Eclipse special and two seasons of their series, The Planets and Beyond. His New York Times bestselling book, Spaceman: An Astronaut’s Unlikely Journey to Unlock the Secrets of the Universe, was published in the fall of 2016 to rave reviews.

Spark.me organizers have previously announced five speakers – Mark W. Schaefer (one of the world’s foremost social media marketing strategists, and a business consultant who blogs at {grow} – one of the top five marketing blogs of the world), Denise Lee Yohn (the expert on brand leadership, an in-demand consultant, and a bestselling author), Boyd Multerer (former engineering leader for Xbox video game console, who founded Xbox Live and XNA), Dhiraj Mukherjee (co-founder of Shazam, which was acquired by Apple in 2017 for a reported $400 million), and Kerry O’Shea Gorgone (the Director of Product Strategy, Training at MarketingProfs, and the host of the Marketing Smarts podcast). More speakers will be announced in the weeks to come.

Spark.me tickets are available at the conference official website, at www.spark.me. The full price of the ticket is 300€. However, all interested parties can take advantage of the Late Rate ticket sale and get their ticket for just 250€, before May 13. High school, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students who are 27 years old or younger can get their ticket for a special price of 50€.

Spark.me conference ticket includes: pass for all conference sessions (May 26-27), workshops (May 25), and the start-up competition (May 26-27), buffet lunch on both conference days, all coffee breaks on both conference days, and a cocktail reception (the evening of May 26). A ticket does not include accommodation and transport. All bought tickets can later be transferred to another person (‘name change’), but cannot be refunded.
