Tesla and Skype investor among others at Techsylvania 2016

Cluj-Napoca is hosting the third edition of Techsylvania this year with names like Tim Draper among others.

Tim Draper is the co-founder and Managing Partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson investment fund and also an investor in companies like Skype, Baidu, Tesla, and others.

Ioana CozmutaIndustry Innovation and Microgravity Lead at NASA are also present to share her experience. Among speakers that have confirmed their presence, are names like  Mark Post, the inventor of the first hamburger with laboratory-produced beef meat, as well as Steffi Czerny, one of the most influential 100 tech people, according to Wired Magazine.

Other names include top class people from companies like Twitter, Soundcloud, HootSuite, Prezi, etc.

Hackathons for developers

The hackathon will test programmers on creating apps for DJI, Oculus Rift, and Leap Motion among others. 130 developers will be competing for gadget prizes from Parrot, Alcatel, Merge VR, etc.

There is also an award as an exclusive invitation for the pre-acceleration program hosted by Young Leaders Club and business mentorship from Founders Forum in London.

 

New workshops, including Assisted Driving

Techsylvania has added a new component to the event by bringing themed workshops for developers and entrepreneurs. Among these, there will be themes on assisted driving, creating PR strategies, developing innovative organizations or techniques to have a successful pitch, all these delivered by Techsylvania speakers and partners.

The event will have a pitch competition that will gather start-ups from around the world. The most promising startup will be awarded a trip to Silicon Valley, offered by Microsoft.
