Two Bulgarians arrested for ATM Skimming in Kosovo

The Kosovo Police Unit for Cybercrime has arrested two Bulgarian citizens, who have been caught withdrawing money from ATM Machines in two cities of Kosovo, Prishtina and Mitrovica. During the investigation and control, the Police was able to identify and confiscate 3 mini cameras

The Kosovo Police Unit for Cybercrime has arrested two Bulgarian citizens, who have been caught withdrawing money from ATM Machines in two cities of Kosovo,  Prishtina and Mitrovica. During the investigation and control, the Police was able to identify and confiscate 3 mini cameras that have been modified to enable them to get the PIN codes from the clients and have used a modified memory, which served to record and store the details from the cameras.

The police were able to confiscate also a modified cash trap, a cable for pulling information from modified equipment, a laptop, and some other tools that were used to complete skimming tools, which they have applied to ATM Machines.

According the Police Report, the citizens from Bulgaria will remain detained and all confiscated tools will be used as evidence when the case proceeds to the court. This work comes as a result of two months of investigation and continuous surveillance of the suspects work in Kosovo.
