The international volunteers day 2013, will be an important part of the upcoming Barcamp in Prizren on the 6th of December, where most of the speakers will be talking on voluntary acts and the results they bare for the society.
The seventh edition of Barcamp Prziren, organised by NGO THY and supported by SMILE project of UNDP, UNV, Minisitry of Culture, Youth and sports and IPKO Foundation, will focus the event around the importance of voluntary work in different communities and above all on raising the awareness of how voluntary acts can help people and make the world a better place.
Kujtim Gashi, youth co-ordinator in the Municipality of Prizren will talk about the youth oriented policies of the Municipality of Prizren in supporting and promoting voluntary acts in the municipality. The next speaker will be Blerim Azizi, who is involved with the Voluntary Program of the United Nation – UNV Kosova, and who will show the benefits of young people being involved in voluntary acts. While the last speaker will be Bariu Zenelaj from NGO ATTA, who will talk about the civil society and who will present the challenges and best practices of voluntary acts in Prizren.
NGO THY will present the project “Educate yourself online about HIV/AIDS” which is supported by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports of Kosovo, and which will be present through online courses to the users of edukohu.org, on social networks and other methods.
