A new dynamic model of workshop will come to life this October in Kosovo that will bring together ideas, problems of youth and of course multiple educational innovative methods to solve different social problems.,
Joshua Harvey, UNICEF Innovations Lab manager emphasize that: UPSHIFT Social Impact Workshop is a new model that will be implemented in Kosovo which is designed by international experts and Lab’s stuff especially for youth.
Moreover, Harvey highlights the importance of this workshop by saying UNICEF Innovations Lab Kosovo continue to bring new opportunities for youth Kosovars, which can contribute in social positive change through their talents but also to gain new skills and experiences for helping their future.
First UPSHIFT Social Impact Workshop will be organized in Gjakova on 17-19 October 2014. Whereas, the UNICEF Innovations Lab team have already started with an informative campaign for youth with special focus on schools and youth centers, but also through social networks.
Valon Nushi, workshop coordinator informs that it’s very high number of youth who already applied and it is incredible to see how youth identify different problems that are facing in their everyday life and they find through different techniques and methods to find a creative solutionâ€.
UPSHIFT Social Impact Workshop is open to all youth from Gjakova, Rahovec and Decan, aged 16 – 26. Moreover, ten selected teams will continue competition for five best projects, they will be sponsored for a 3 months period after the workshop, to develop further their idea and project.
