Veridos announced it will continue to provide the Republic of Kosovo with ePassports for the next five years.
In addition to providing Kosovo with ePassports, Veridos has been delivering an advanced system solution to personalize the ePassports for the last three years and will continue to do so.
Veridos will also oversee data management as well as service and maintenance for the software and hardware infrastructure.
We are very proud that our partnership with the Republic of Kosovo will carry on, said Veridos CEO Hans-Wolfgang Kunz. “It bears witness to our successful cooperation to protect Kosovar citizens identities for the last three years.â€
As a result of SAC, personal and biometric data included in the ePassport are better secured. The Extended Access Control protocol protects these data against any unauthorized access.
Developed by Giesecke & Devrient, one of Veridos parent companies, the solution is based on the PACE (Password Authenticated Connection Establishment) cryptographic protocol and is one the most secure technologies on the market.
