The Czech Scene

The local investor community is led by Credo Ventures focusing on early stage CEE companies that has invested e.g. into FuturelyticsApiary.ioComprimato and exited Cognitive Security to Cisco. Companies founded by expats such as 360Cities or Mediastudio have also been doing well there. Wayra is assisted in it’s acceleration efforts by StartupYardTechSquareNode5Impact Hub and JIC and StarCube in Brno and actively cooperates with all to share knowledge and resources.

There are many startup related events happening in Prague, with an increasing number being in English. To sum up, the Prague ecosystem offers rapidly expanding know-how, experience, opportunities and access to networks to all entrepreneurs set on conquering the global technology stage. And if a startup needs to venture to a more established location, Berlin is only a 4-hour drive and London a 2-hour flight away.
